Gordon Burn has extended his essay - first published in the artist's recent Requiem catalogue for the Pinchuk Art Centre - to discuss our understanding of death and Hirst's rediscovery of solitary studio painting. In addition, two combined interviews between Gordon Burn and the artist are also included in this major volume.
