Dr. Linbing Wang (Blacksburg, VA) is well respected in his research on asphalt mechanics. He is a member of the FHWA Expert Task Group on Fundamental Properties and Advanced Modeling of Asphalt and has been selected to serve on several NCHRP (National Cooperative Highway Research Program) panels for asphalt projects. Dr. Wang is very active in various professional societies and has been a member of TRB Committee AFP70 on Mineral Aggregates, Committee AFK50 on Bituminous Mixture to Meet Structural Requirements, Committee AFS50 on Modeling Techniques in Geomechanics, ASCE Committee on Bituminous Materials, Pavement Committee of Geo Institute, and USUCGER Research Committee. He is also a member of ASCE, AAPT, and ASEE (American Society of Engineering Education).
