Australia in the year 2020. We may well ask...What is to become of the world? Storm is an 18-year-old who can remember everything. When a local astronomer finds out about the boy's ability, he asks him to deliver a coded message that can't be written down. A powerful few know all hell is about to break loose across the planet, and they are doing all they can to keep it a secret. Storm is about to step into a world of hurt when he discovers what has been hidden from humanity for more than two millennia. Reviewers say: the writing style is often brilliant - Mike Dixon, official review for Readers' Favorite Preview... plenty of gritty action throughout - Andy Lloyd, author of Ezekiel One... character-driven story that is a roller coaster from beginning to end - Brian's Book Blog... I read it in one day - Ronovan Writes, official review for Lit World Interviews. Read the exciting action packed and suspense filled sequel May Day (Book II). Author's Notes When I commissioned the orange cover for Jubilee Year, Erelong Trilogy Book I, and supplied the artist with a concept way back in 2015, I had no idea how prescient the cover, and indeed the book's contents would turn out to be. It isn't easy to forget the widespread bushfires in Australia. That time we now call the Black Summer of 2019-2020. It isn't easy to forget that orange sky! The second book in the series, May Day, Erelong Trilogy Book II, also hit the mark with what really is a tried and true trope in SF, 'the fortress city'. In the book, the fortress was Sydney. Only three years after publishing May Day newspapers and the mass media began referring to Melbourne in 2020 as a 'fortress city'. One reason I love science fiction as a genre is that so often, it seems the unconscious mind rewards the conscious writer-mind with imaginings that tap into real events before they happen. If you enjoy intrigue, a grand conspiracy, and a wild ride, then these books are for you. Book III in the trilogy is under development and is scheduled for publication in late 2021-early 2022. Warning!Perhaps due to the title Jubilee Year and particularly the sequel May Day appear to have triggered a few readers. It helps if you are an adult and broad-minded in the sense you like your SF spiced with political intrigue. It also helps if you read the books as allegories, which is the way I intended the stories to be taken. Available wherever my books are sold.

Über den Autor
Gerard O'Neill is a novelist who lives with his family in Sydney, Australia, but originally hails from the deep south of New Zealand. He worked too long in the suffocating confines of the academy, which explains his need to escape to the great outdoors as often as possible. He speaks English reasonably well, and Japanese, but the last is still a work in progress. He enjoys Kendo. He also likes to pick up a good book, particularly if it's science fiction, and reads a wide range of books, including non-fiction. Gerard likes to keep up with the latest developments in science and technology. He reads history, and currently almost anything about the Russian revolution will grab his attention. https://www.gerardoneillbooks.com/Also found here: https://www.facebook.com/GerardONeill.Books/
