Über den Autor
Tony Phillips was born in Dublin, Ireland. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from University College Dublin, he worked for two decades in technical infrastructure for the communications, industrial and banking sectors in North America, Europe, Hong Kong and Australia, based in Ireland, Germany, the UK, Australia and in Silicon Valley, California. From 2003 to 2005 he drove from Silicon Valley to Tierra del Fuego, conducting a political-economic study of Latin America called Project Allende that focused on sovereign debt and development. In Argentina, he completed postgraduate studies in regional economics at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) to complement his own research on the political economics of sovereign debt and the dynamics of globalised trade and finance. In 2012, he wrote the South American section of What If Ireland Defaults? He works on sovereignty issues in debt, development, energy and ecology from Buenos Aires and in Europe.
