Über den Autor
The Author: David H. Turner is Professor of Anthropology at the University of Toronto and a Fellow of Trinity College and the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Studies. He has worked for thirty years with the Australian Aborigines and has done comparative research on Canadian history and the Cree, in Bali, in north India, and in Japan. Apart from his three previous books published with Lang, he is author of Tradition and Transformation, Australian Aboriginal Scocial Organization, Shamattawa (with P. Wertman) and Challenging Anthropology (with G. Smith).
