Über den Autor
John Bowen is CEO of the Bowen Group, a substantial construction and property company. An engineer by profession, he has had a lifelong interest in Irish provincial silver, with a special interest in the silver of Limerick and Cork. His previous book is entitled Cork Silver & Gold. Conor O'Brien retired from a career in the pharmaceutical industry in County Wicklow in 1998. He holds a BSc and a PhD from University College Dublin and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. Over the years he has devoted much of his free time to researching old Irish silver, and has published several papers on the subject in specialist journals.
