Über den Autor
Divina Frau-Meigs is Professor of Media Sociology and American Studies at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle. With degrees from the Sorbonne University, Stanford University and the Annenberg School for Communications, she is a specialist of media and information technologies in English-speaking countries, in a comparative perspective. Her research interests span from MIL to the cultures of the screen to internet governance within the human rights framework. She directs the ANR TRANSIT project and holds the UNESCO chair Savoir Deuchir in the digital era. She presides the Social Sciences and humanities committee of the French National Research Agency.Irma Velez is an Associate Professor of Spanish language and cultures (literature and visual arts) at the Université Paris-Sorbonne, in the teacher training department (ESPE) where she is the digital mentor for teacher trainees in her field. Her research interests encompass media convergence and media politics, from the decolonial Spanish-speaking literary and cinematographic productions to European public policies for capacity building in MIL and digital literacy. She is particularly keen on analyzing the dialectic between gender and technology in mediated cultures.Julieta Flores Michel is Professor at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, Mexico, she is a guest expert researcher at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle. Her research interests include studies of culture, communication and information technologies, communicative competence, gender equality, and public policies in MIL in Europe.
