A tale of lust, love, and murder in a remote abbey . . . It was in the early spring of 1977 when an assorted little group of characters arrived, as fate would have it, at an ancient monastery in the remote mountains of northeast Germany. This intriguing group of voyagers would include . . . Denise, who quickly lets it be known that she has simply come along for the ride, the fun and excitement. Helga, the voluptuous and alluring woman who seems more like an angel than the wife of a wealthy banker. Marcus, who seems to be a perfect gentleman, however, beneath the surface he is a troubled soul. Alex, the younger brother of Marcus, who could be described as a confused mixture of Don Quixote and D'Artagnan. Günter, who knows just what he wants and how to get it. Günter is strong, handsome, and arrogant-and he conspires to get it all. And Stephen, who is stuck in the past, and feels that he should have been born a sailor in ancient Greece sailing with Jason and the Argonauts. Follow this lively group as they move blindly forward in the shadow of the Brocken, the mysterious mountain that is the home of Walpurgisnacht, and the revel of the witches. Strange things start to happen as the group awaits the arrival of spring . . . and whatever destiny has in store for them.
