Tam O'Shanter: Study Score
Chadwick's Symphonic Ballad is based upon Robert Burns' poem of the same title. Composed in 1915 at a time when the US was on the brink of World War I, the work was viewed as an affirmation of America's Anglo-Celtic heritage. The present score is a carefully restored reissue of the first edition issued by the Boston Music Co in 1917.
