Dr. Daniel Hamilton is the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation Professor and Director of the Center for Transatlantic Relations at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), Johns Hopkins University, named consistently in annual surveys conducted by the University of Pennsylvania as the #1 university- affiliated think tank in Washington, DC and among the top 10 in the world in 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011 and 2010. He also serves as Executive Director of the American Consortium for EU Studies, designated by the European Commission as the EU Center of Excellence Washington, DC.
