Über den Autor


Krzysztof Nawotka is an ancient historian, Greek epigrapher and classicist educated in Wroclaw, Poland; Oxford, UK; and Columbus, USA; Ph.D. (1991), The Ohio State University. He is currently Professor of Ancient History at the University of Wroclaw, Poland, and previously held positions as Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Liverpool, Visiting Scholar at Brown University and Visiting Professor at Xiamen University. Since 2015 he has been a member of the Academia Europaea. He has published on Greek cities on the coast of the Black Sea, Greek legislation, Miletos, Alexander the Great and the Alexander Romance. His most recent publication is The Alexander Romance by Ps.-Callisthenes: A Historical Commentary (2017). At present he co-ordinates a research project at the University of Wroclaw entitled Greek City in the Hellenistic and Roman Age and Territorial Powers, funded by the National Science Centre, Poland.
