Domestic Violence against Women in Morocco
The book reflects on the problem of domestic violence against women in Morocco. It particularly presents findings on the causes and consequences of such conjugal violence in its physical, psychological, economic, and symbolic forms. Theoretically, the study delves into the ways Moroccan popular culture reproduces, supports and maintains such form of gender-based violence. On a practically level, the study is based upon both quantitative and qualitative data to measure the nature and the extent of the problem.

Mohammed DERDAR (PhD) is an associate professor of Gender and Cultural Studies at Chouaib Doukkali University, School of Humanities and Social Sciences in El Jadida, Morocco. He is ex-chair of English Studies Department. He is currently a permanent member of The Applied Language and Culture Studies Lab (ALCS).
