Susan Bogert Warner (1819-85) was an American evangelical writer of religious fiction, children's fiction, and theological works who used the pen-name Elizabeth Wetherell. She is best remembered for her novel The Wide, Wide World (1850), often acclaimed as America's first bestseller, and together with her younger sister Anna, who sometimes used the pseudonym Amy Lothrop, wrote a series of semi-religious novels which had extraordinary sales.
