Humanities for the Environment, or HfE, is an ambitious project that from 2013-2015 was funded by a generous grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The project networked universities and researchers internationally through a system of 'observatories'. Joni Adamson is Professor of Environmental Humanities in the Department of English, and Director of the Environmental Humanities Initiative at the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability at Arizona State University, USA.Michael Davis is an Honorary Research Fellow with the Sydney Environment Institute, University of Sydney, Australia, and a Member of the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies.
