Since schooldays he has had a great interest in photography and is a member of Penrith and District Camera Club, founding Penrith Contemporary Archives Group with his wife Judith. They live in Penrith in a house they designed and had built themselves, and are involved in many local activities. Bryan has a son and granddaughter.
