Über den Autor
Robert Fletcher Manlove, PhD, began his career as a geologist with degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of California in Berkeley. After serving in the Peace Corps in the Philippines, Dr. Manlove returned to Berkeley and earned BA, MA, and PhD degrees in Anthropology. With these degrees, he taught Geology and Anthropology at City College of San Francisco and, when time permitted, did anthropological fieldwork among California Native peoples, including the Yurok, Tsi Akim Nisenan Maidu, the Chukchansi Yokuts, and the Chowchilla Yokuts. All of his work among California natives has been focused upon gathering historical information that could strengthen their tribal identities and help them revive and revitalize their historical cultures.
