Über den Autor
Emily Brontë was the second eldest of the remarkable Brontë sisters, who were all poets and novelists. Born in 1818, Emily was brought up in Haworth on the edge of the Yorkshire moors. These moors provide the powerful setting for Emily's only novel, Wuthering Heights. Critically acclaimed and a best-seller, the book has subsequently become known as a classic. Emily died one year after the book was published, aged 30. She never realized the true extent of her success.
