Broken Windows is about Curtis Johnson Jr.'s journey through some of life's storms. The hardships and trials Curtis went through are issues many of us face every day. Even if we have not faced them personally, they are issues that hit close to home; issues that many of our parents, siblings or close friends have gone through. Life can beat us down through family, illness or death. The world as we know it can be turned upside down in a heartbeat. Handling negativity and distractions are things that Curtis struggled with early in his adulthood. Not being overcome by these toxic people or situations is something that is discussed in the story.
