Gerhard Richter (b. 1932) is one of the most influential artists at work today. His painting September, a response to the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, was made some four years after the event. Robert Storr is an artist, critic and curator and the Dean of the Yale University School of Art. He is the author of Gerhard Richter: 40 Years of Painting and Cage: Six Paintings by Gerhard Richter. Sir Brian Urquhart is the former Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations.
