Über den Autor

Benjamin Hary, Ph.D. (1987), University of California, is currently Associate Professor of Hebrew, Arabic and Linguistics at Emory University in Atlanta. He has published extensively in the area of Judeo-Arabic and Arabic linguistics and dialectology. John Hayes, Ph.D. (1984), UCLA, is Lecturer in Arabic and Semitics in Berkeley, and is interested in the linguistic history of the Ancient Near East. The second edition of his Manual of Sumerian is scheduled to appear in 2000. Fred Astren, Ph.D. (1993), University of Berkeley, is Associate Professor of Jewish Studies at San Francisco State University with research interest in Jewish history under Islam and the Karaite Jewish sect.
