Alison Maitland is a writer, speaker and conference facilitator specialising in leadership, diversity and work. A former long-serving Financial Times journalist, she is co-author of the prize-winning book Why Women Mean Business. She is a Senior Fellow in Human Capital at The Conference Board, the international business membership and research organization, and directs the Board's Europe-based Council for Diversity in Business. She is a Senior Visiting Fellow in the Faculty of Management at Cass Business School, London. She contributes articles and columns to the FT, The Conference Board Review and other media, and speaks at public conferences and internal corporate events in many countries.
