He is an authority on William and Catherine Booth of The Salvation Army, having edited their letters and written two biographies of General Booth. He is also the author of The Altar Call: Its Origins and Present Usage, his MTh dissertation, and The Origins of Left Behind Eschatology, his PhD dissertation.
