Each section reviews important Christian issues, doctrines, or prophecies and provides numerous Old and New Testament scriptures defining them. In essence, a Bible study is provided for each subject. Scriptural references are presented in order from Genesis to Revelation. Organized lessons summarizing important doctrines and referencing key scriptures are provided as a review. The book arranges and discusses various Bible passages in such a way as to make a point or teach a principle. The author makes no attempt to introduce new theologies, doctrines, prophecies, or beliefs, or to belabor trivialities. The Holy Bible is regarded to be the Word of God in its entirety because the authors of the Bible were directed by God himself to record his thoughts. While the Bible may be infallible, this text is not. Although Dr. Barber was inspired by the same Holy Spirit that moved the Biblical prophets and teachers he does not claim inerrancy. This book is not meant to be a substitute for studying God's Word. Readers are encouraged to compare everything they see, read, and learn with what the Holy Bible says. Scripture references are based on the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible; they have been paraphrased in modern English for ease of reading. The KJV is an excellent word-for-word translation from the original Greek version. There are many modern translations of the Bible that are highly regarded and accepted; it is recommended that the reader obtain several Bibles and compare the scriptures referenced in this book. In this text, the term Bible is never used generically, but refers to the orthodox Christian Bible comprising the Old and New Testaments.Christian principles, ethics, doctrines and beliefs are explored, examined and explained, using the Holy Bible as the authoritative source.
