The Greatest Escape
Buch
How did Joseph, Mary, and the baby Jesus escape Herod's cruel decree that all infants in Bethlehem under the age of two years be killed? How did Joseph, Mary, and the baby Jesus escape Herod's cruel decree that all infants in Bethlehem under the age of two years be killed? How did a mere carpenter and his peasant wife escape from a powerful government and its relentless soldiers? Is it possible someone in Herod's court was persuaded to help them? With God all things are possible! Turn all these questions over to a pre-teen choral group and let their imaginations run wild as they write an original Christmas play-the result is a wonderful story of how it might have happened. Every grandmother will want her grandchildren to read or hear this exciting, mysterious, and imaginative tale that will rivet the attention of young and old from the very first page to the last! When you've finished reading this book, you too will have to admit that it could have happened this way. STEVE STEPHENS is a retired educator. He spent eleven years in the classroom as a teacher, fourteen years as a public school administrator, and four years as an Assistant State Superintendent of Education for Louisiana. He and his wife, Pat, also a retired teacher and administrator, have four grown children. They also have numerous grandchildren, and they now live in the Bethel Community near Logansport, Louisiana. THE GREATEST ESCAPE is Stephens' fourth novel. This novel has been adapted into a movie script and is being considered for an animated movie in Hollywood.
