Über den Autor
Timothy L. Smith was a Phi Beta Kappa student at the University of Virginia where he received Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees with honors. He studied at Harvard University under Dr. Arthur M. Schlesinger and received his Ph.D. degree in 1955. After the completion of his academic degrees, he taught history at several institutions including Eastern Nazarene College, the University of Minnesota, and The Johns Hopkins University, and published a variety of books and articles. Before his death in 1997, he received numerous awards and honors, including his election to serve for a term as President of the American Society of Church History.
