Elephas Levi (the pen name of Abbé Louis Constant, 1810-1875) was one of the leading occultists of the 19th century. Author was originally a priest and seminary teacher in Paris, but was forced to vacate his position. He renounced the Church and began researching and writing occult material, which was published between 1855 to 1865. He is now a legendary figure relating to the deeper mysteries of occult knowledge.
