Thomas Bender is University Professor and Professor of History at New York University. He is a historian of the United States. His books include Toward an Urban Vision, The Unfinished City and he has coedited Urban Imaginaries. He also writes on urban design and development issues for various publications, including The New York Times and the Harvard Design MagazineIgnacio Faras holds a PhD in European Anthropology of the Humboldt University of Berlin, is Senior Research Fellow of the Social Science Research Center Berlin and Associate Researcher at the Diego Portales University in Santiago de Chile. His main research topics include social and cultural theory, cultural urban studies, economic sociology and anthropology of tourism
