Über den Autor
Richard Johnson graduated from Cambridge University in 1967 with a BA Honours in natural sciences and metallurgy, received his MA in 1970, and his PhD from Surrey University in 1974 in materials science and metallurgy. He was initiated into Salwick Lodge No. 7993 of Preston and West Lancashire in 1983, became Master in 1992, and was promoted to Past Provincial Junior Grand Deacon in West Lancashire in 1998. In 2001 he became the founding Master of Brigantes Lodge No. 9734 of Kendal and Cumberland & Westmorland, a lodge created by keen ritualists to perform the long versions of each of the ceremonies, including some of the rarely used items at the backs of the ritual books. Since the start of this lodge, he has led the demonstration team of the Brigantes' workings in several formal visits to lodges in England and Scotland. He has given invited lectures on the development of the early lodges in Lancashire, Cumberland & Westmorland and the North West in general.
