Companion Encyclopedia of Psychology

The Companion Encyclopedia to Psychology is an authoritative, in-depth reference work on all major branches of psychological research and professional practice. The book is aimed at a serious but not necessarily specialist readership, including students and teachers of psychology and a wide range of other subjects that deal with psychology components (such as medicine, nursing, sociology, social work, and education) and seriously interested members of the general reading public. The contributors, who include some of the world's leading psychologists, have written in a lively style, with clarity and vigor, at a level accessible to attentive readers without any specialist knoweldge of psychology. The contents of the book are arranged thematically rather than alphabetically into thirteen main sections, corresponding to the topics that most often appear as separate topics in contemporary psychology courses.
