A Parade of Dreams: Poetry Illustrated with Photographs is a collection of poetry divided by form into ten parts. The work is a lifelong dream made possible through the surplus of free time enforced as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. It includes poetry written across many decades-the 1980s, 1990s, and the 2000s-with much of the work, however, written between January, and May of 2020. Über den Autor
Christopher J. M. Wheeler was born in England. After living a nomadic childhood, Christopher's family settled in Whitehorse, Yukon, where he now lives with his wife, Joanne, and their two dogs, Boots and Teddy. An educated man, Christopher holds a diploma in fine arts, and another in computer studies, as well as a bachelor's degree in education, and a fourth-class power engineer certification. His broad range of interests led him down many career paths, including teacher, museum curator, curriculum developer, magazine columnist, computer technician, and more. Christopher's most recent venture is that of a longstanding dream: to become an author. A Parade of Dreams was borne of a lifelong practice and appreciation for poetry, as well as newly afforded time that resulted from the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, and a globally enforced lockdown. This collection is the natural extension of how Christopher interacts with the world around him-through observation, and a desire to understand people....
