His first book was The Eagle of Toledo, a biography of cycling¿s greatest ever climber, Federico Mart¿Bahamontes. He has also written Reckless, a biography of the ill-fated Luis Oca¿a, the 1973 Tour winner and considered Eddy Merck¿s top Grand Tour rival, and The End of the Road, an account of the 1998 Tour de France.
