Über den Autor


NIGEL FIELDING is Professor of Sociology and co-Director of the Institute of Social Research at the University of Surrey. His publications include The National Front (1981), Joining Forces (1988), The Political and Social Conflict (1991), Investigating Child Sexual Abuse (1992), Community Policing (1995), and Computer Analysis and Qualitative Research (1998).ALAN CLARKE is Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Surrey. He has published articles in the British Journal of Criminology, British Journal of Sociology and Sociological Review. He is co-author of Evaluation Research: An Introduction to Principles, Methods and Practice.ROBERT WITT is Senior Lecturer in Economics at the University of Surrey. He recently led a research group funded by the ESRC under its Crime and Social Order Programme. He has published papers in economics and crime journals, including Applied Economics,, British Journal of Criminology, Bulletin of Economic Research, Energy Economics, Manchester School, Regional Studies and the Scottish Journal of Political Economy.
