Looking unto Jesus

He then presents an edition of Vavasor Powell's 'Saving Faith Discovered in Three Heavenly Conferences' before again analysing the author's Christ-centred piety, focusing on his description of Christ as Shepherd, Judge, and Husband.This new work is an important addition to scholarship on Puritan and Baptist thought, as well as to the ecclesiastical history of the seventeenth century.
