Merry is Professor of Philosophy of Education in the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences at the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. His primary areas of scholarship are ethics, political philosophy, and educational theory.Veit Bader is Emeritus Professor in Social and Political Philosophy and Sociology at the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
