One River

Explorations and Discoveries in the Amazon Rain Forest

Buch

An epic tale of adventure in the Amazon rainforest, interweaving 2 stories; that of 1940s biologist Richard Evan Schultes, who uncovered many secrets from his own prodigious investigations and the wisdom of local tribes, and that of his student, Wade Davis, who followed in his footsteps, 30yrs later. Brings to life the riches of the Amazon basin and bears witness to the destruction of its indigenous culture and natural wonders over 2 generations. From the author of Into the Silence, winner of the 2012 Samuel Johnson Prize.
