The Worry WorkbookWise for my size, The Worry Workbook, is part of a wider coaching programme for parents and children. It is a powerful empowering programme that teaches children essential life skills through activities, games and stories. The main concern facing parents is not knowing what to do or say when their child comes to them with a problem. This is the reason that Lorna and Jac created the Wise for My Size library; it was to give the language, tools and techniques, to be able to support children when they expereince a challenge or opportunity, straight into the hands of parents. The workbook uses the Wise for My Size Six-Step Wisdom Process; Step 1 - We Share, when we share a story together you make a unique and special connection between the story-teller and the listener. When you share this story with your child you are strengthening your relationship and making special memories.Step 2 - We Reflect, once you have shared the story it is time to reflect on the wisdom, insights, thoughts and feelings that the story has stirred up for you both.Step 3 - We Explore, in this step you will explore new ideas and concepts and consider the different perspectives of each character. Step 4 - We Experiment. You then take all this learning and you try out these new ideas, strategies, tools and beliefs to see what works for you. Step 5 - We Prepare. If you want to develop new patterns of behaviour or new ways of thinking, it is important to plan and prepare when you will use them. Let's prepare for the next tricky time or the next opportunity!Step 6 - We Practice. The final step is to practice. Pactice makes progress. Keep practicing until the new learning, tools and strategies are familiar and easy to use and then you are Wise for your Size. This workbook accompanies the story book 'The Worry'. This story is about a little boy called Alfie who has a worry. With Gran's help Alfie learns the steps to handle his worry. By following the workbook with your child they will learn how to handle their worry too. There is a helpful guide and overview for parents and hands on fun activities and games for children to complete to strengthen their learning.

Über den Autor
Lorna and Jac are twin sisters who have between them over 40 years' experience working with children and their families. They share a passion for supporting all children to reach their fullest potential by harnessing their unique and special gifts. They have combined their knowledge, skills and expertise tocreate this special library of mindset books for parents to share with their children, so all children will be Wise for my Size.Lorna is a children's occupational therapist and life coach; she lives with her family and her dog in the west coast of Scotland. Through her work and as a mother of two children Lorna became aware of the importance of mindset when children face adversity and challenge; it's the key ingredient to success. Asan occupational therapist Lorna works with the medium of play and fun as the principal 'occupation' of childhood, and this leads very naturally to developing a programme that uses stories, games and activities to teach valuable life skills to children and those young at heart.
