COLORADO CROSS
The setting for this novel, THE COLORADO CROSS is in Boulder, Colorado near the University of Colorado and The Hill. The time is 1968 at the height of the prohibition era. A Southside gang leader struggles to keep control of a large marijuana operation selling pot on near the campus. He meets a hippie girl and they form a relationship which turns out to be turbulent. When she finds out he has to kill a fellow gang member who has gone awry she abandons her lover and becomes a Christian. How can they, possibility reconcile their relationship as lovers?

William Howard was born and raised in Colorado.He served as a Special Education teacher for 26 years. He has a doctoral degree in Special Education. He has been a faculty member at Western Michigan University and Northern Michigan University. He is fl uent in American Sign Language for the deaf. He has traveled extensively across the United States conducting research about his travel guides and novels. He currently is a full time writer and lives in Southwestern Michigan.
