Über den Autor
Professor Bangchun Wen was elected as Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1991. He was Member of International Rotor Dynamic Technology Committee, Member of Chinese Committee of International United Committee of Machine Theory and Mechanism, Chair of Department II of Mechanical Engineering in Northeastern Institute of Technology and Northeastern University, Three Terms of Communist Party Committee Member of Northeastern Institute of Technology and Northeastern University till October, 2017. He was Member of the following committees: the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Academic Subject Review Group in Degree Council of the State Council of China, Member of National Natural Science Awards Committee, Natural Technology Patent Awards Committee, and National Science Technology Progress Awards Committee, National Yangtze River Scholar Award Evaluation Group, National Natural Science Foundation Review Group.Together with his colleagues, he published total of more than 800 academic papers in which more than 180 papers he is the first author, more than 300 papers were cited, more than 260 paper indexed by SCI, EI, and ISTP. He accomplished many scientific and technological innovations and achieved great economic and social benefits.He has edited a total of 80 monographs, text books, and manuals in which 67 are the first author. Two of them were awarded the second prize of national excellence of science and technology books. The 6 volumes of Machine Design Manuals are rewarded as the first prize of Science and Technology Award of China Machine Industry and nomination of China Publication Government Awards. He was awarded the Famous Author Award by Science Press in 2009 and the most influential Author Award by China Machine Press in 2012. He obtained two International Awards, 5 National Awards, 1 Guanghua Engineering Science and Technology Award, more than 20 Province and Ministry first and second awards, and has more than 20 Patents. In the conference of National Vibration Utilization Engineering, he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award in this research field.Dr. Huang graduated from Dalian University of Technology. He was Lecturer from Northeastern University before he went to Michigan State University in USA. During his teaching and doing research in Northeastern University, he worked under supervision of Professor Wen and Professor Wen is his mentor. He got his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University. Then, he worked as Engineer for Product Development in Ford Motor Company. During his 18 years of experience in Ford Motor Company, he did vehicle NVH design, development, and experiments. Then, he went to China and worked in heavy-duty truck/bus/electric vehicle design and development. His major work has been a longtime NVH expert. He published two books on Truck and Electric Vehicle NVH in Chinese.
