Über den Autor


Sarah Chaker (Dr. phil.) studied musicology and German language at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg. She is currently an assistant professor at the Department of Music Sociology (IMS) at the mdw University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Her research interests include street music, the transdisciplinary analysis of music, histories, theories and methods of music sociology, popular music (in particular metal music) and Musikvermittlung.Axel Petri-Preis studied music education, German philology and musicology in Vienna. He has been active in the field of Musikvermittlung internationally for more than ten years, and his projects have received several awards. He is a senior scientist and Deputy Head at the Department of Music Education Research, Music Didactics and Elementary Music Education (IMP) at the mdw - University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. His research currently focuses on the education and further training of (classical) musicians in relation to Musikvermittlung and on community engagement in classical music life.
