Über den Autor
Kira J. Baker-Doyle is an Associate Professor of Education and the Director of Master's Degree and Certificate Programs at Arcadia University School of Education in Glenside, Pennsylvania. Her research has centered on teacher professional development, social network theory, and community engagement, especially in urban schools and communities. She is known in her field for her work in translating the principles of social network theory into practices that foster teacher learning and professional development. She is the author of The Networked Teacher: How New Teachers Build Social Networks for Professional Support (2011), and the co-editor of the forthcoming book, Networked by Design: Interventions for Teachers to Develop Social Capital. She cofounded the Connected Learning Certificate program at Arcadia, a hybrid graduate program designed to cultivate K-16+ educators' leadership, networking, and engagement in connected learning. At Arcadia University, Baker-Doyle teaches education courses about writing and literacies, with an emphasis on digital media and connected technologies.
