Rhonda G. Phillips, Ph.D., AICP, CEcD is a professor, a planner and community economic developer with experience in tourism-based development approaches. Her research and service outreach includes assessing community well-being and quality-of-life outcomes, and fostering balanced approaches to planning and development.Sherma Roberts is a lecturer in tourism and programme leader for the M.Sc. Tourism programmes, University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus. Dr. Roberts recently co- edited New Perspectives in Caribbean Tourism and Marketing Island Destinations. Research includes tourism policy and planning, sustainable tourism, tourism entrepreneurship, and community participation.
