Thy Kingdom Come
The New Evolution of the Good
In this study, written largely during the winter of 1966-1967, Valentin Tomberg leads the reader into the strata of a deeper reality. The path begins with knowledge of the kingdom of nature, looked at from two points of view: Darwin's evolutionary fallen nature of the serpent (whose guiding principle is the collective will to power) and the cooperation, association, and social collectivism also apparent in nature (pointing to a region of created beings rather than to an evolutionary origin of species). Über den Autor
In his final years, Valentin Tomberg wrote several short works. The present book, the first of these (c. 1967), was dedicated to his son Alex. The second and longest (1970), Lazarus: The Miracle of Resurrection in World History, has been published by Angelico Press. The third, The Proclamation on Sinai: Covenant and Commandments, was finished in 1972 and is in press. These late writings, taken as a whole, may be seen as a resurrection of Tomberg's Our Father Course (also in preparation for publication) given in the Netherlands (1940-1943), which elucidates in an astonishingly profound way the seven petitions of the Our Father prayer.
