Thermodynamics for Chemical Engineers
Thermodynamics for Chemical EngineersLearn the basics of thermodynamics in this complete and practice-oriented introduction for students of chemical engineeringThermodynamics is a vital branch of physics that focuses upon the interaction of heat, work, and temperature with energy, radiation, and matter. Thermodynamics can apply to a wide range of sciences, but is particularly important in chemical engineering, where the interconnection of heat and work with chemical reactions or physical changes of state are studied according to the laws of thermodynamics. Moreover, thermodynamics in chemical engineering focuses upon pure fluid and mixture pr…

Über den Autor
Kenneth Hall is currently a Senior Development Engineer at Bryan Research & Engineering (a company offering a process simulator program and consulting). He spent 50 years in academic programs, primarily at Texas A&M University teaching thermodynamics and in various managerial positions. He has authored 280 research papers and 10 books, he has made 130 presentations at national and international meetings. He has received 20 national and international awards, and several awards presented by Texas A&M.Dr. Gustavo Arturo Iglesias Silva is a professor at the National Technological Institute of Mexico-Technological Institute of Celaya from 1991 to date. His area of research is Thermodynamics with emphasis in the design of equipment to measure physical properties, the analysis and development of theoretical and empirical methods to predict thermodynamic properties, and the development of computational thermodynamic models for the simulation of chemical processes. He has 135 publications. He has been invited to be part of evaluation committees of research projects of the Mexican National Council of Science and Technology (CONACyT) and member of the evaluation committee of the National System of Researchers in México.
