Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) have been promoted as a potential technology that can reduce vehicles fuel consumption, decreasing emissions related with the transport sector and dependence from oil importations. However emissions and cost impacts of PHEVs are strictly connected with the power mix generation used to produce electricity and when their batteries are recharged. Über den Autor
Mr. Fagiani graduated in Energy Engineering at Politecnico di Milano and now is a Phd student of the Erasmus Mundus SETS Joint doctorate. He worked on his Master Thesis at the Ohio State University analyzing the interaction between PHEVs and the electric grid. He currently works on support schemes for renewable energy at TU Delft University.
