Über den Autor
Johan Kugelberg is a noted writer and a prolific curator based in New York City. He curated c/o The Velvet Underground, the successful exhibition of Velvet Underground artifacts at the Glenn Horowitz Gallery in 2007, and contributes regularly to music, fashion, and culture magazines. He is also the author of Vintage Rock T-Shirts and Born in the Bronx, and the catalog that accompanied the Velvet Underground exhibition. Lou Reed is one of the greatest artists of recent times. Founder, singer, songwriter, and guitarist for the Velvet Underground, and profoundly successful as a solo artist, writer, poet, and painter following the band's demise, Lou Reed'swork in all media has received passionate acclaim. Vaclev Havel, former president of the Czech Republic, is one of the most celebrated writers and dramatists of the twentieth century, and remains active as one of the great humanitarian politicians and campaigners of our times. Maureen Tucker was the drummer and a singer in the Velvet Underground between 1965 and 1971, and went on to play with the bands Paris 1942 and the Kropotkins. She lives in Georgia. John McWhinnie is a writer, curator, and rare book dealer living and working in New York. He has gallery spaces at the Glenn Horowitz Bookseller in Manhattan and East Hampton, and hosted c/o The Velvet Underground, NYC show in the spring of 2008.
