Michael Parrish is professor of history at the University of California at San Diego. He is the author of The Hughes Court: Justices, Rulings and Legacy; Anxious Decades: America in Prosperity and Depression, 1921-1941; Felix Frankfurter and His Times: The Reform Years; and Securities Regulations and the New Deal. He teaches courses on American legal history and American politics and culture since the Civil War.
