Erik J. Molenaar, Ph.D. (1998), Utrecht University, is senior researcher at the Netherlands Institute for the Law of the Sea (NILOS), Utrecht University & Adjunct Professor, University of Tromso and has published widely on the international law on fisheries, shipping and polar regions. Alex G. Oude Elferink (Ph. D. (1994) Utrecht University, is the Deputy director at the Netherlands Institute for the Law of the Sea (NILOS), Utrecht University. He has published widely on the the international law of the sea including on maritime boundaries, the continental shelf and areas beyond national jurisdiction. Donald R. Rothwell (Ph.D. 1995, University of Sydney), is Professor of International Law at the ANU College of Law, Australian National University. He has published widely on a range of topics in public international law, particularly the law of the sea, polar law, and international law within Australia.
