The end of the past decade meant a new beginning to the European Union. The signature of the Treaty of Lisbon, on the 13th of December 2007, put indeed an end to the crisis that the European Union had been experiencing since the failure of the European Constitution on 2006. Patrick Vincent graduated in Law at the University of Liege (Belgium) in 2009. In 2010, he obtained a LLM in Tax Law from the University of Liege and a LLM in European Competition Law and Property Rights from the Liege Business School (HEC). He is currently a visiting scholar in Tax Law at the Univestity of Wisconsin (Madison, USA).
