Über den Autor
Paul Dickson is a Washington-based freelance writer who has written books on many topics, including space exploration, the vagaries of language, and the history of baseball. His books include: The Hidden Language of Baseball, Sputnick: The Shock of the Century, and, with Dover, War Slang. More recent books include Leo Durocher: Baseball's Prodigal Son, and The Dickson Baseball Dictionary. Thomas B. Allen was a frequent contributor to National Geographic magazine and author of many books, including George Washington, Spymaster and Rickover: Father of the Nuclear Navy (with Norman Polmar.) His other Dover book is World War II:The Encyclopedia of the War Years, 1941-1945 (also with Norman Polmar).
