Über den Autor
Susan P. Baker, a retired Texas judge, is the author of 8 novels and two nonfiction books, all of which are related to the law. As a judge, she dealt with everything from murder to divorce. Prior thereto, she practiced law for nine years, spending much of her time in the courtroom. While in law school, she worked as a probation officer.Susan's father was a lawyer and a judge. She remembers him parking the family outside the old county jail while he went inside to make bail bonds. She'd stare out the window at the broken glass lining the tops of the walls to prevent escapes and wonder what the jail was like inside. Later, as a probation officer and then an attorney, she became quite familiar with the interior of the jail but luckily could leave whenever she wanted.Susan is a member of Texas Author's Inc., Authors Guild, Sisters in Crime, Writers League of Texas, and Galveston Novel and Short Story Writers. She has two children, eight grandchildren, and lives in Texas. She loves dark chocolate, raspberries, and traveling around the world. An anglophile, she likes to visit cousins in England and Australia. On her bucket list are a trip to New Zealand, a long trip back to Australia, living in England for several months at a time, visiting all the presidential libraries in the U.S., and driving Route 66 in 2020.Read more about Susan at http://www.susanpbaker.comLike her at http://www.facebook.com/legalwriter.Follow her on Twitter @Susanpbaker.
